The White Rock is a 1,066-seated venue in Hastings, situated in a commanding position on the Hastings shoreline, and is home to some of the best live music and entertainment in East Sussex.

workshops

Dance Live! provides free workshops for all participating schools. Workshops for Poole will take place on:

Workshops consist of sessions on the following:

  • LED Screen Content Creation
  • Journey Video Creation
  • How to Interact with the Screen
  • Lighting Design
  • Dance Live! Team Q&A

Additionally, Dance Live! provides zoom workshops throughout September-January each year on:

  • Dance Live! Teacher Admin
  • LED Screen Content
  • Journey Video Creation
  • Music Editing
  • Prop/Set Design
  • Lighting Design

Workshop dates will also be sent directly to each school’s lead teacher in September.

Head Judge & Patron

Dance Live’s first Patron, Mark Smith, is a Choreographer, Movement Director, Dance Teacher, Workshop Leader and Director, Founder and Artistic Director of Deaf Men Dancing, Patron for The Imperial Society of Teachers and Dancing (ISTD) and was nominated as Best Choreographer in the Off-West End Awards and the Broadway World UK Awards for Ace of Clubs, Call Me Madam & Iolanthe and Live Theatre & British Theatre for Tommy.
